Ukrainian President approves Antonov`s debt restructuring, relief worth UAH 1.3 bln

Ukrainian President has signed the law on the restructuring of debt of Ukraine`s state-owned enterprise Antonov for 10 years in the amount of UAH 706 million and its debt relief in the amount of UAH 565.8 million, according to a message on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the document, as of August 1, the amount of Antonov`s debt to the Ukrainian budget was at UAH 706 million, while another UAH 565.8 million was accrued penalties for late payments. This law stipulates that the debt in the amount of UAH 706 million will be paid to the state within 10 years, and the penalty will be charged.

According to the authors of the bill, a substantial debt of Antonov emerged when in 2009 it merged with the Kyiv Aviation Plant Aviant, which at that time had accounts payable in the amount of UAH 1.9 billion.

UNIAN memo. State-owned Antonov is the manufacturer of cargo and passenger aircraft, as well as special purpose aircraft. Among the company`s most recognized projects are the An-32, An-148, An-158, An-74, An-124, An-70 and An-225.
