Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has held talks with Minister of Defense of Moldova Anatol Salaru.
The heads of defense ministries discussed issues of cooperation between ministries of defense of Ukraine and Moldova and prospects of its development, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has reported.
Poltorak stressed Ukraine respected territorial integrity of Moldova and supported its intention to close a Russian military base on its territory.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Moldovan news portal Deschide.MD reported on Sunday, November 6 that Ukraine is ready to open a ”green corridor” for the withdrawal of Russian troops and armaments from the village of Colbasna in the self-proclaimed Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, or Transnistria, if a decision on the pullout has been taken.
