5.6 magnitude quake hits Romania overnight Wednesday, Ukraine feels tremors

An earthquake with a 5.6 magnitude was recorded in Romania in the early hours of Wednesday, December 28, while Ukrainians could also feel it.

Tremors were reported in Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi, and other cities across Ukraine.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the hypocenter of the earthquake with a 5.6 magnitude was 7 km to the west from the village of Nereju, 80.99 km deep.
