About 1,800 Ukrainian cars in queues on border with Poland: Border guards

As of the morning of August 16, there are a significant number of vehicles – 1,760 cars – standing in queues at crossing points on the border with Poland.

According to the State Border Guard Service, the increase in passenger traffic is because the holiday in Poland has ended.

”A large number of cars are trying to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border in all directions, resulting in long queues. Mostly it is small border traffic,” the agency stated.

Officials reported there were 400 vehicles at the Krakovets customs checkpoint, 350 cars at the Rava-Ruska checkpoint, 300 cars at the Yahodyn checkpoint and 210 cars at the Uhryniv checkpoint, as well as 160 cars at the Shehyni checkpoint, 150 cars at the Hrushiv checkpoint, 120 cars at the Ustyluh checkpoint and 70 cars at the Smilnytsia checkpoint awaiting their turn.

The State Border Guard Service emphasized it has taken all necessary measures to ensure a comfortable, safe and quick border crossing for the citizens.
