War, not the expected peace arrived at the doorstep of Great Britain and France when they gave up Czechoslovakia to Hitler in 1938. War is happening right here at home and not in faraway Europe – the United States were harshly reminded about this at Pearl Harbor in 1942. War descended on Ukraine and thus is now much closer to Paris and Berlin, because Europe and the US haven’t supported Georgia in 2008. War showed up in the homes of Dutch, British, French, German, Australian families because Europe and the US weren’t courageous enough to lend a helping hand to Ukraine in 2014. It is impossible to run away from war and overwhelming aggression, it is impossible to buy yourself off. The war will catch up with you if you don’t stand up to it with utmost determination.
September 15 – The building of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People was shot at in Simferopol, in the occupied Crimea – this must be revenge for Crimean Tatars not participating in illegal elections in Crimea.
September 15 – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has offered to introduce a three-year special self-government regime in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, currently partly occupied by the Russian troops and Russian terrorists.
September 15 – The European Union did not recognize the elections held on August 14th in Crimea, annexed by Russia.
September 15 – Foreign Ministers Frank-Walter Steinmeier (Germany), Laurent Fabius (France) and Sergei Lavrov (Russia) held a trilateral meeting regarding the crisis in Ukraine. According to reports, the talks were held in Paris.
September 15 – The leader of “Ukrainskyi Vybir” [Ukrainian choice] Viktor Medvedchuk suggested that the names of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts should be changed and that new territorial entities should be created instead. Maybe he thinks it would be a good idea to call them autonomous republics in order to destabilize Ukraine even further? Medvedchuk promotes the idea of federalization of Ukraine and pushes for various pro-Russian policies. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also a godfather of Medvedchuk’s daughter.
