November 20 – The head of Russia’s State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Alexei Pushkov believes that the unilateral demarcation of the border with Russia will result in many problems for Ukraine.

November 20 – Hungary has refused to allign with one or the other side in the opposition of the European Union and the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, informed Reuters. Accoring to him, Hungary will repel from national interests in relations with Russia, even if this irritate its allies in EU and USA. “I am convinced that the raising of the issue that a country has to choose on which side it is, reminds me of soviet times. We have to be on the side of Hungarian national interest, and not on somebody else’s,” Orban noted. “The Hungarian geopolitical interest lies in averting a new Cold War,” he added.

At the same time he stated that Hungary opposes infingement on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, for him it is important that sovereign Ukraine be the buffer between Russia and Hungary. Besides that, he also once more mentioned that in foreign politics he upholds Germany’s stand. For Budapest this “means a starting point… and in some cases a compass,” stated Orban, referring to the recent brutal statements of Germany towards the Kremlin. We remind all that in the West, Viktor Orban is known as “a friend of Kremlin” who often goes against the basic position of the European Union in relations with Russia. In particular, Hungary continues to insist on the necessity of building a “Southern Flow”. Also, the premiership of Orban is known for many extremely controversial legislative initiatives.
