March 26 – The General Prosecutor’s Office (GPO) of Ukraine announced its search for 76 former deputies of Parliament of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea who are suspected of high treason.

“According to the investigator, the suspects are announced as being sought and the court has granted permission for their apprehension,” stated the announcement of the Press Service of the General Prosecutor’s Office. It is also mentioned that the assets of the suspects in the sum of over 1.2 billion UAH have been arrested. At the beginning of March, the GPO presented written announcements about the suspicion of 76 Crimean deputies in high treason to the Russian Embassy in Kyiv, and also sent it by mail to the illegally formed organ of the “State Parliament of the Republic of Crimea.”

We remind all that the assests of a series of officials – fugitives in the West have been frozen, although even a partial return of their assets into Ukraine has until now been impossible.
