This is Ukraine today – June 21

Maidan Community Sector, Lviv: Dear friends!

By annexing Crimea, Russia has carried out an act of aggression against Ukraine. Currently Russia is transferring terrorist and sabotage groups to Eastern Ukraine. Russia aims to prevent legitimate presidential elections from happening. Everyday life in Eastern Ukraine has turned into a continuous nightmare in the middle of Europe. Our country is being destroyed right before our eyes. We therefore take the courage to inform you about current events in Ukraine. This is just another point of view. We will do our best to remain objective.

June 21 – Starting at 10 pm on June 20th the terrorists have attacked the positions of anti-terrorist forces several times, informed the Director of the Center for Political and Military Studies Dmytro Tymchuk. Thereby Russian terrorists have rejected the “peace plan” offered by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. To be precise – Putin rejected the “peace plan”.

June 21 – Russia has accumulated tanks and artillery at the border with Ukraine – this can be used by terrorists, stated Jen Psaki, spokesperson for the US Department of State.

June 21 – Central Military District of the Russian Army has been brought to full alert. Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu has said that Putin suddenly decided to conduct a comprehensive review of operational readiness of the Central Military District. The review will last from June 21st to June 28th. Putin is blackmailing the whole world again. This is his response to Poroshenko’s “peace plan”.

June 21 – In cooperation with State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine has detained a Russian saboteur who was collecting information about the airport in a “faraway” Uzhgorod. Is Putin contemplating about Europe?

June 21 – Russian terrorist are torturing previously arrested Mayor of Horlivka Yevhen Klep – they are abusing him, have shaved his head, and are forcing drugs on him.

June 21 – Tanks with Ukrainian identification marks and people wearing Ukrainian military uniform have been exposed 20 km from the Ukraine-Russia border, near the Russian village of Millerovo. Does Putin want to repeat Hitler’s provocation, who organized an attack on a radio station in Gleiwitz in order to justify the invasion of Poland (Gleiwitz incident)?

June 21 – Russia faces the risk of new sanctions by the West, if it doesn’t defuse tensions on the border with Ukraine. This was agreed upon by the US President Barack Obama, French President François Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, reports Reuters.
