December 4 – Ruble rate at Moscow exchange fell significantly after Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed Federal Assembly. Prior to Putin’s address, one dollar was worth 52.64 rubles, euro – 64.88 rubles.

December 4 – Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin believes that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe could seize to exist if it doesn’t change its operational principles. “In the last year we have tried to use various tools available to OSCE… but their influence has been very limited” – said the Minister.

[“200” – dead, “300” – injured].

December 4 – “Currently 32400 people are fighting in Donbas, including 6-10 thousand soldiers of Russian Armed Forces. All the rest are mercenaries and representatives of so-called illegal paramilitary formations”, – said Oleksandr Rozmaznin, Chief of Department for Personnel Policy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

December 4 – The EU should impose new sanctions against Russian Federation, which is preparing for further military action, – said MEP Jacek Sariusz-Wolski. “They are preparing for further military action to create a “corridor” from Donbas through Marupol to Crimea. And from there, perhaps, to Transnistria”, – said Sariusz-Wolski.

December 4 – Ukrainian Parliament has elected first deputy speaker and deputy speaker. According to the resolution, Andriy Parubiy was elected Deputy Speaker (“Naronyi Front”) and Oksana Syroid as Deputy Speaker (“Samopomich”).
