Estonians Vote in Parliamentary Election Amid Security Fears


TALLINN, Estonia—Early results showed Estonia’s center-right ruling coalition leading Sunday in the country’s parliamentary election, which has been dominated by economic issues and security concerns due to Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
Polls had indicated a close race between Prime Minister Taavi Roivas’ Reform Party-led coalition and Edgar Savisaar’s Center Party, the main opposition party, which is favored by the country’s ethnic Russians.
After polls had closed Sunday evening, results showed the Reform Party leading with 29 percent of the votes followed by the left-leaning Center Party with 21 percent of votes.
