As the House readies itself for the yearly Remembrance Day hiatus – a week-long constituency break timed to allow MPs to attend November 11 events in their respective ridings – the only item of government business on the to-do list is Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s proposed changes to Canada’s pension plan, which is currently undergoing vigorous second-reading debate.
