Yatseniuk wants to hold Russia liable for offences against Ukrainian citizens

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk emphasizes that Russia should be held liable for the offences against Ukrainian citizens, peace, order and security in Europe and the world.
The Head of Government has said this at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“To hold the Russia Federation and the Russian regime liable is a matter of our responsibility to the people of Ukraine,” the PM said.
Yatseniuk underlined that Ukraine had initiated the process of bringing the Russian Federation to justice in international courts for a breach of the UN Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
The Head of the Government reported that last week the first round of technical consultations prior to submission of the relevant claims to the UN International Court of Justice had been conducted.
He recalled that he had appealed to the leadership of the Internal Ministry and Security Service of Ukraine to collect evidence of the involvement of the Russian Federation in the financing of terrorism.
