Yatseniuk to meet NATO secretary general on Dec 15

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk plans to meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on December 15 and discuss the government’s stand on the cancellation of Ukraine’s non-bloc status and the replenishment of Trust Funds for the country.
He said this from the parliament’s rostrum on Thursday, while presenting a government action plan, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Concerning future cooperation with NATO, it is planned to annually approve a Ukraine-NATO action plan. Here I would like to personally address our partners, and on Monday I will meet the NATO secretary general. We hope for real aid. Those four Trust Funds, which were declared five months ago, should have real replenishment,” Yatseniuk said.
According to him, the Ukrainian army should be formed to meet the logics and standards “of the most powerful, not just military, peace bloc” – NATO.
