Yatseniuk, Sevcovic discuss investment in Ukraine’s gas transport system

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has held a phone conversation with European Commission Vice President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic, the press service of the Ukrainian government has reported.
During the conversation, which was held on Friday, December 5, Yatseniuk and Sevcovic discussed priorities for cooperation in the energy sector, including Ukraine’s preparations for the winter period. The prime minister reiterated the full readiness of Ukraine’s energy system to ensure unhindered transit of natural gas.
“Arseniy Yatseniuk and Maros Sefcovic also paid significant attention to attracting investment from the European Union in the Ukrainian gas transport system, which will increase the energy security of Ukraine and the EU,” reads the statement.
