Incumbent Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has again been elected head of government.
A total of 341 MPs voted for such a decision.
Yatseniuk said in his speech in the Verkhovna Rada that he was ready to cooperate with the president.
Earlier, Poroshenko said that he supported Yatseniuk’s candidacy and hoped the coalition would nominate him for prime minister. He also said that at the first meeting of parliament he would submit the coalition-supported nomination for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada and expected MPs to support his proposal.
At the first meeting of parliament the lawmakers also voted for the creation of a coalition and the election of Volodymyr Hroisman as parliament speaker.
