Ukraine guarantees an uninterrupted transit of natural gas, but for this we need to sign an agreement just with European companies.
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk told the government meeting, the Cabinet’s press service informs.
“In order to ensure an uninterrupted transit of natural gas to our European partners, we need to sign a contract just with European companies. And we are ready for this,” he said.”
Yatseniuk also stressed that “the government established European and based on market principles procedure for setting a price for natural gas transportation.”
The head of the government reminded that a number of decisions were taken on reformation of the energy sector: “The Ukrainian energy sector complies with the Third Energy Package. We also believe that on the basis of these fundamental principles a transit scheme must be built.”
