Yatseniuk, MEPs discuss fight against Russian aggression

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and a delegation of the European Conservatives and Reformists group in the European Parliament headed by the chief of the EP security and defense subcommittee, Anna Fotyga, discussed the prospects for overcoming Russian aggression in the military, economic and energy spheres on Monday, the government portal has reported.
Yatseniuk stressed the importance of strict adherence to the regime of sanctions as an effective instrument of deterring the aggressor.
He also stressed the importance of synchronous ratification of the Association Agreement on September 16 in the Verkhovna Rada and in the European Parliament and emphasized the important role played by the European Parliament in shaping the EU’s common position in defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
