The verdict of Kyiv`s Holosiyivskyi District Court against Russian military intelligence servicemen Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov is coming into force today, May 23, according to their lawyers.
”It will come into force at 23:59 on May 23, we can say that in fact it will happen on May 24,” Alexandrov`s lawyer Valentyn Rybin said.
He said that the lawyers had another full day to decide on the appeal against the verdict. At the same time, he noted that ”no decisions had been taken so far.”
In turn, Yerofeyev`s lawyer Oksana Sokolovska said she would not appeal. ”This is a final decision. There will be no appeal,” she said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian military intelligence servicemen Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov were found guilty and sentenced to 14 years in prison with confiscation of property.
