The USA is ready to suspend the anti-dumping duties that were imposed on Ukraine in 2007 as Ukraine wasn’t a member of the WTO, and bought gas at a discounted price. Recently the situation changed and everything is going to final cancellation of the duties.
As reported Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius on his official Twitter after the visit to the USA, the anti-dumping duties for Ukrainian pipe producers, steel, and the chemical industries would be suspended:
“The American party proposed several solutions, including a possibility to sign Suspension Agreements (Agreements to suspend the anti-dumping duties). This is quite an important achievement, given the political sensitivity of these issues,” the minister Aivaras Abromavicius.
