Ukroboronprom showcases UA-made drones at exhibition in France

Ukraine`s major state-owned arms manufacturer Ukroboronprom has for the first time presented technological developments of the Ukrainian military and industrial complex, in particular, domestic drones, at the Eurosatory 2016 international defense and security exhibition, the company`s press service reported.
”Ukroboronprom is supplying the Ukrainian army with modern weapons and military equipment. Ukraine-made UAVs presented at the Eurosatory international exhibition are a vivid example of the progress made by Ukraine`s military and industrial complex,” the press service quoted Ukroboronprom Deputy Director General for foreign economic activity Denis Hurak as saying.
According to the report, the presented drones are used for reconnaissance and high-precision target spotting, as part of the battle management system and artillery fire control. Those drones accelerate to a speed of over 100 km/h, can fly for 12 hours and operate at an altitude of 2 km.
Additionally, Ukroboronprom featured prototypes of anti-missile systems, samples of new armored vehicles and Oplot main battle tanks, automatic guns and mortars. A full-scale model of Dozor-B modern armored vehicle was also exhibited.
The press service recalls that Ukroboronprom has established the Ukrainian Aircraft Corporation within its structure, thereby combining all aircraft manufacturing enterprises of the country into a single cluster. As noted, Antonov state enterprise will be the corporation`s core enterprise.
Eurosatory is the world`s largest international land and air defense and security exhibition held under the patronage of the French Defense Ministry since 1967 once every two years.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Malaysian Defense Ministry got interested in weapons and military equipment produced by Ukroboronprom that was presented at the International Defense Exhibition Conference DSA-2016 held on April 18-21 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

State-run Ukroboronprom Concern was established in 2010 to ensure effective operations and management of state-owned business entities that develop, manufacture, sell, repair, modernize and scrap weapons, military and special equipment and ammunition, and participate in the military and technical cooperation. The Concern incorporates over a hundred enterprises of Ukraine`s defense industry.
