Ukrenergo sees 28.8% rise in revenue since year`s start

State-run company Ukrenergo, the operator of Ukraine`s power grids, saw its revenue from power transmission grow by 28.8% in January-April 2016 from the same period last year, to UAH 1.403 billion, according to the company`s statement.
Actual volumes of power transmitted through the main power transmission lines in January-April 2016 decreased by 13.2% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 37.8 billion kWh, the statement said.
Power transmission rates in January-April 2016 grew by 50% y-o-y, to UAH 0.0371 per kWh.
Memo. National energy company Ukrenergo is engaged in operations control of Ukraine`s integrated power grids and operates main power transmission lines.
Last year, Ukrenergo posted a net profit of UAH 820.4 million, as compared to a loss of UAH 1.2 billion in 2014. Ukrenergo increased its net income for power transmission in 2015 by 76.4%, to UAH 5.433 billion compared to 2014.
