Ukrainians in Sept sell $283 mln more currency than they purchase

Net sales of foreign currency by the Ukrainians in September amounted to $283.4 million, which is two times more than the net sales in the previous month, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

In September, the banks sold $65.4 million of cash currency to the population, buying $348.8 million in the same period, as reported on the NBU website.

According to the data released, the net sales of currency by Ukrainians since the beginning of the year, January-September, totaled $2,307 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the net sales of foreign currency by the Ukrainian population in August amounted to $131.9 million, in January-August, it was $2.023 billion.
