Ukrainian producers happy with Cabinet`s bill on simplified medicines registration

The ”Manufactures of Medications of Ukraine” Association has supported draft law No. 4484 revised by the Cabinet of Ministers on amendments to Article 9 of the Law ”On Medicines” (with respect to the state registration (re-registration) of medicinal products), which was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on May 10, 2016.
The Association said in a press release that it shares the government`s initiative, which aims to expand the range of the country`s medicines by simplifying the procedure of state registration (re-registration) of medicinal products registered in countries with the strict regulatory system and included in treatment protocols or forms in those countries.
”The government-proposed new bill will facilitate shipments of high-quality drugs of different nosological groups onto the Ukrainian market and simplify access of new original pharmaceuticals to the market, taking into account the mechanisms to protect the rights and interests of consumers and patients. We hope that the Verkhovna Rada will support the revised and submitted bill in the near future, which, of course, will ease citizens` access to new, safe, high-quality and effective medicines,” the press release says.
The Manufactures of Medications of Ukraine Association was created in 2010 for leading domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers to join hands to make Ukraine`s pharmaceutical market better and to provide Ukrainians with effective and high-quality medicines.
Association members are PJSC Farmak, InterChem SLC, PJSC SIC Borshchahivskiy chemical and pharmaceutical plant (BCPP), YuriYa-Farm Ltd, Kusum Pharm Ltd., and PrJSC Indar.
