Ukrainian intelligence officers eliminate group of terrorists

An intelligence unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has eliminated a group of up to 20 terrorists.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Friday.
“Yesterday a reconnaissance unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of eight persons, while performing work on studying the area, saw a group of up to 20 terrorists near the village of Verkhniotoretske, Yasynuvata district, Donetsk region. Terrorists immediately attacked our intelligence officers,” Lysenko said.
He said that despite the overwhelming number of opponents, Ukrainian troops had killed four militants and wounded several more. Intelligence officers lured terrorists for our major cover group. The antiterrorist operation forces destroyed a group of militants almost completely,” he said.
He added that one Ukrainian serviceman had been killed during the battle with terrorists. “Unfortunately, one Ukrainian intelligence officer who helped pull his wounded comrade was killed with a bullet of the enemy’s sniper,” Lysenko said.
