Ukrainian Finance Ministry tasked with ensuring funds for anti-corruption agency`s needs

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has instructed the Finance Ministry to provide for necessary funds in the state budget to enable the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) to procure the equipment required, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

”Currently, there are no technical issues, meaning that the necessary equipment is rented, as it was earlier planned. Therefore, the Finance Ministry is instructed to provide for necessary changes to the state budget, upon NAPC request, needed to purchase the equipment,” Groysman said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

Further, the prime minister noted that the NAPC should take measures to renew the lease for the period until the procurement of the necessary equipment.

”You [NAPC] are the central body of executive power. On the other hand, you are completely independent of the Cabinet. You have been elected independently by the selection commission, so we can only assist you in this matter. But I want to emphasize that by the end of October 31, you should have everything arranged,” the prime minister stressed.

NAPC Head Natalia Korchak noted that the cost of renting the equipment amounts to UAH 100,000 monthly.
