Ukrainian Finance Ministry expects zero GDP growth in 2015

The Ukrainian Finance Ministry expects zero GDP growth when drafting Ukraine’s state budget for 2015.
Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said this in an interview with U.S. newspaper The Wall Street Journal, the ministry’s press service reported.
“The budget package is based around a forecast of zero growth in real terms for 2015,” reads the statement.
Jaresko added that the Finance Ministry’s team was sprinting to put together three pieces of legislation aimed at reforming the economy and serving as the key building blocks for the new budget: tax legislation, a law on social security contributions and one on decentralizing fiscal powers to the regions.
She said she hoped to complete negotiations with lawmakers on this package on Wednesday and to pass a new budget before December 26.
