Ukrainian citizen detained over ”extremist” book on entry into Russian-occupied Crimea

Russian border guards at the Dzhankoy checkpoint in occupied Crimea have detained a 34-year-old Ukrainian citizen for carrying ”extremist literature,” according to the Russian FSB border department, TASS reports.

”A book containing a ”collection of extremist lectures” was found among personal belongings of a 34-year-old man (who was riding as a passenger in a car),” the report says.

In addition, the passenger had an edition of 2011, referring to the list of literature banned in the territory of the Russian Federation.

”Law enforcement agencies are now investigating this case,” the border guards said.
