The Ukrainian Armed Forces have prepared for the defense of Mariupol and set up roadblocks on the likely routes of movement of the enemy.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Monday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are ensuring the defense of Mariupol in the area of Starolaspa-Rozdilne-Komsomolske,” Lysenko said.
He added that in order to prevent the movement of the enemy in the direction of Novoazovsk-Mariupol mobile teams of units of territorial defense battalions had set up posts on the most dangerous areas of the likely movement of the enemy.
