Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer Antonov restores An-72P plane for National Guard

The state-run Antonov aircraft manufacturer based in Kyiv restored the airworthiness of An-72P plane and transferred it to a customer, the National Guard of Ukraine.
The news was reported on the web portal PZT citing the press service of the enterprise.
“The plane was garaged in Odesa and hadn’t flown from August 2006 to August 2014. The aircraft was brought to Kyiv on September 6. Antonov service center repaired defects in the aircraft and carried out its technical servicing. According to the decision made by Antonov’s employees, the manufacturer performed work, including the flight of the aircraft, at its own expense,” the report says.
The An-72P plane has become the twenty first aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine restored by Antonov lately. In 2014, Ukraine’s Air Force received 18 restored aircraft AN-24, AN-26, AN-30 and 2 AN-26 planes joined Ukraine’s Navy.
