Ukraine`s gas stocks in underground facilities grow to 9.5 bcm

The stocks of natural gas in Ukraine`s underground storage facilities grew by 1 billion cubic meters (bcm) with the end of the heating season in early April, to 9.5 bcm, according to the operator of Ukraine`s gas transportation system, Ukrtransgaz.
According to the report, the storage facilities are filled by 30%.
The average daily volume of gas pumping into the underground storage stood at about 20.4 million cubic meters (mcm) as of June 21.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine stopped taking gas from its underground facilities due to the end of the heating season, and the gas stocks have been replenished since April 7.
In 2016, Ukraine plans to buy 11-13 bcm of natural gas from European suppliers. The country seeks to pump 8.2 bcm of gas to its underground gas storage facilities by the start of the next heating season.
