Ukraine`s ex-envoy to U.S. joins political sub-group on Minsk implementation

Former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oleksandr Motsyk has been appointed to the political sub-group on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, a source in the Presidential Administration of Ukraine said, according to ZN.ua.

Oleksandr Motsyk was the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States from 2010 to April 2015. He was replaced by Valeriy Chaly.

The source also said that today, November 23, Motsyk set off to Minsk to take part in negotiations.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on November 23, the Tripartite Contact Group holds its regular meeting in Minsk. The main issues on the agenda of talks are the security issues, the release of Ukrainian hostages, as well as the disengagement of troops in the village of Stanytsia Luhanska.
