“Ukraine intends to maintain relations with Azerbaijan in the energy sphere in the future. The Minister noted that a meeting is planned with Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev. The parties will discuss the issues concerning transportation of oil from Azerbaijan to Ukraine. In addition, they will speak about implementation of other joint projects,” a statement reads.
According to Prodan, Azerbaijan studies the variants of oil supply to oil refineries of Ukraine.
“Supply of oil from Azerbaijan is a task of the short-term perspective. Capacities of domestic refineries are not loaded enough, so technically it is possible to raise the processing volume very quickly,” the Minister said.
