Ukraine to send food producers` mission to Israel

Ukrainian Trade Representative Nataliya Mykolska has announced that Ukraine and Israel have agreed to send a trade mission of food producers to the Middle Eastern country.
”The possibility of conducting joint business activities (B2B, buyers missions, specialized business missions, etc.), which are of interest to Ukrainian exporters, was discussed during a meeting. The key sectors include mechanical engineering, metallurgy, agriculture and the light industry, as well as the chemical and wood industry. We`ve agreed to arrange a trade mission for Ukrainian food producers soon,” she wrote, following a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce in Tel Aviv.
The consideration of signing an agreement on the free trade area between Ukraine and Israel was postponed in the summer of 2013.
Early in September 2015, Ukraine renewed free trade talks with Israel.
Late in December last year, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced that the two countries had agreed on the introduction of the free trade area in the first half of 2016.
On July 25, 2016, Ukraine and Israel held a new round of talks on the creation of a free trade area between the countries.
