Ukraine to pay UAH 29 mln from budget to victims of Maidan events

Ukraine`s government has decided to allocate UAH 29 million for support of victims and families of those who were killed during the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine in 2013-2014, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
The funds will be taken from the reserve fund of the national budget. It is planned to pay UAH 13.8 million in financial aid to 167 people who were affected by the events that took place during the Revolution. About UAH 15 million will be earmarked for the families of 107 people who were killed on the Maidan.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman commented on the government`s decision saying that it was ”its obligation” to ensure the allocation of the funds.
”Our solemn obligation is to support those people,” he said.
