Ukraine to get next tranche from IMF in December

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will disburse the next tranche to Ukraine in December 2014.
This issue was discussed at a meeting between Ukrainian Justice Ministry representatives and a delegation of the IMF.
“This time IMF experts were interested in judicial reform before the next review of the tranche, which will be provided to Ukraine in December 2014,” the Justice Ministry’s press service reported.
It noted that experts were trying to figure out the financing of the Ukrainian judicial system, which, according to an expert on improving anti-corruption laws and anti-money laundering of the IMF mission’s delegation, Sebastiaan Pompe, is now in a state of financial stress.
According to experts, the desired changes in the judicial system should begin with the development of a reform strategy, involving civil society representatives.
