Ukraine along with its partners in the Normandy format will coordinate further actions during the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission at the level of state leaders in the framework of the NATO Summit in Warsaw, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in Odesa Sunday during celebrations on the occasion of Navy Day, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
”As for the meeting in Normandy format, I can say that we will coordinate our actions during the meeting of Ukraine-NATO [Commission], which will take place [July] 8 in Warsaw. There, we will decide on further actions in the Normandy format,” he said.
”It is not just about the fact of the meeting, we are talking about the documents to be well-drafted,” said Poroshenko.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a NATO summit will be held July 8-9 in Warsaw.
During the summit, a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of state leaders is scheduled.
”On Monday [July 4], Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, Deputy head of the presidential administration, Kostyantyn Yeliseyev set off to Europe to prepare at the level of assistant heads of state and government a possible meeting in Normandy format at the Assistant Heads of State and governments,” said Poroshenko. ”These meetings will be held on a regular basis.”
