Ukraine should serve as a ‘bridge’ between Europe and Russia – Kerry

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has said that the United States wants to see Ukraine as a “bridge” between Europe and Russia.
He said this at a meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin on Wednesday, Deutsche Welle reported.
“He said that Russia’s participation was crucial to jointly tackle global crises. Kerry stressed that all sides should make efforts to fully implement the Minsk agreements and expressed hope that Ukraine could one day become a ‘bridge’ between the West and Russia,” reads the statement.
Kerry also demanded an end to Russian aggression in Ukraine, adding that the United States does not seek conflict with Russia.
