Ukraine sees consumer confidence improve in June

Consumer confidence in Ukraine in June 2016 improved due to the increased assessment of personal income, and the Consumer Confidence Index grew by 2.4 percentage points compared to May, to 52.7 points, according to GfK Ukraine.
”All the components of the Consumer Confidence Index rose in June. The index of current financial standing increased for the most extent that may be connected with seasonal deflation. Despite the current prices decrease, inflation expectations rose in expectation of further growth in utility rates,” GfK Ukraine said in a monthly update.
Further, Ukrainians were optimistic about all the components of consumer confidence, its major indexes showed better figures: the Index of Propensity to Consume, the Index of Expectations of Changes in Unemployment, the Index of Inflationary Expectations, and the Index of Devaluation Expectations.
