Ukraine sees 14% rise in agricultural production costs

Costs of agricultural production in Ukraine rose by 14% in January-April 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, the State Statistics Service reported.
In particular, costs of crop and livestock production grew by 9% and 25%, respectively.
In April, total costs of agricultural production increased by 1% as compared to March. Costs of crop production raised by 1%, and those of livestock production were up by 2%.
According to the report, expenses on materials and equipment used in agricultural production fell by 2% in April as compared to March, but they increased by 1% during the first four months as compared to the same period in 2015.
The data is presented excluding the occupied territories of Crimea and part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in Ukraine`s east.
As UNIAN reported earlier, agricultural production costs in 2015 increased by 50.9% as compared to the previous year.
