Ukraine reports skirmish near Maryinka, up to eight enemy troops killed

The Ukrainian Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters has reported an attempt by the enemy`s two special forces units to break through Ukrainian positions near the town of Maryinka at about 19:00 local time on Saturday, July 30.
”The Ukrainian military repelled them successfully. The coordinated efforts of the personnel made the enemy retreat to the initial firing positions. The enemy suffered losses of up to eight men. There were no losses among Ukrainian troops,” the ATO HQ wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
In the last 24 hours, Russian proxies attacked Ukrainian positions 70 times throughout the ATO zone in eastern Ukraine, the ATO HQ said.
The enemy used, among other weapons, 120mm and 152mm shells, which are banned by the Minsk peace agreement.
The tensest situation is in the Donetsk sector, where large-caliber artillery and mortars are used to shell ATO positions in Avdiyivka and the village of Pisky, near the demolished Donetsk airport.
UNIAN reported earlier that two Russian servicemen from the 15th rifle battalion of the 6th separate motorized rifle regiment of the 2nd Army Corps of the Territorial Forces Center of the Russian Federation Armed Forces were killed in fighting near the village of Novozvanivka in Luhansk region on July 23.
