One Ukrainian soldier was killed and five were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to Oleksandr Motuzianyk, presidential spokesman for ATO issues.
”There was one killed in action (KIA) and five wounded in action (WIA),” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.
According to Motuzianyk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered these losses in the Mariupol sector.
As UNIAN reported earlier, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 47 times in the past 24 hours, including 20 times in the Mariupol sector, 16 times in the Donetsk sector and 11 times in the Luhansk sector.
