Ukraine reports 7 soldiers, 1 border guard wounded in past 24 hours

Seven Ukrainian soldiers and one border guard were wounded in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to Oleksandr Motuzianyk, presidential spokesman for ATO issues.

”No Ukrainian soldiers were killed as a result of fighting in the past day. One soldier was wounded in the town of Avdiyivka. In addition, another four of our soldiers and one officer of the State Border Guard Service were injured in a grenade explosion in a passenger medical vehicle in the Stanytsia-Luhanska district. Another two members of the Armed forces of Ukraine were injured in the town of Krasnohorivka after possibly stepping onto a buried explosive device,” Motuzianyk said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.

Motuzianyk also said that he could not yet disclose the details of the incident with the explosion of a grenade in the car, because the circumstances were being investigated.
