One Ukrainian soldier was killed and two were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to a spokesman for the Ukrainian Presidential Administration.
”There was one killed in action (KIA) and two wounded in action (WIA). We express our condolences to the family of the dead soldier,” Andriy Lysenko, administration spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation issues, said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.
As UNIAN reported earlier, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 52 times in the past 24 hours.
