Ukraine reduces pumping gas into its underground storage facilities by 33%

Ukraine pumped into its underground gas storage facilities (USFs) 6.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in January-October 2016, which is 33% less than the same period last year, according to Ukrtransgaz, operator of Ukraine`s gas transport system.

As of November 4, the amount of gas in USFs was 14.4 bcm, and its daily withdrawal was 17.6 million cubic meters (mcm).

According to the press service, a total of 494.4 mcm of gas was pumped into USFs in October, while 279.1 mcm were withdrawn.
