Ukraine recovers through litigation oil tank farm in occupied Crimea

Sevastopol`s Arbitration Court, which is controlled by Russia-backed occupation authorities in Crimea, ruled that Ukraine should take back its oil tank farm obtained by occupation authorities following the peninsula`s annexation, Krym.Realii news website reported referring to the relevant decision on the court`s website.
”To recognize that Stemv Group LLC (Ukraine, Chernivtsi) owns immovable property located at 2, Neftianaia str., Sevastopol,” the court officials declared.
The document states, Stemv Group purchased the tank farm in Sevastopol in 2013, in full compliance with the Ukrainian legislation.
The Property and Land Relations Department of Sevastopol`s Russian-backed authorities was the party to be charged.
The court`s decision comes into force one month after it is adopted, in case no party appeals against the decision.
As reported earlier, the amount of claims Ukraine and Russia filed in international courts against each other reached almost $100 billion.
Ukraine wants Russia to pay more than $63.5 billion ($37 billion constitutes a compensation for Crimea`s annexation), while Russia demands that Ukraine should pay off $35 billion.
