Ukraine may get EUR 760 million from EU in October

The EU is ready to continue to provide financial assistance to Ukraine, in particular, it is about EUR 760 million that the country can get in October.
President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso said at the 11th Annual Meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) “New Ukraine, new Europe, new world,” Novoye Vremia reports.
According to Barroso, the conditions for receiving the funds are reforms in Ukraine. “A total of EUR 1.6 billion was available to Ukraine. EUR 600 has already been disbursed and EUR 760 million can be disbursed in the next month, provided some of the conditions are met,” Barroso said.
As he said, these funds will be allocated from the European budget, Ukraine, in turn, must continue its reforms and fighting corruption.
The European Commission President also noted that the EU discussed possibility of issuing additional aid to Ukraine to overcome the humanitarian disaster in the country, Its size is discussed.
