Ukraine manages to stop Russian invasion – Chaly

Ukraine has managed to stop the provocation on the border and the bringing of Russian troops to Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly said on the Shuster live talk show on Friday, President Petro Poroshenko’s spokesman Sviatoslav Tseholko wrote this on his Facebook page.
“Under the guise of a humanitarian aid Russia has made an attempt to bring a military contingent to the territory of Ukraine. Concentration of troops on the border has been also recorded by Western partners. The President convened the operational headquarters meeting for immediate response. Petro Poroshenko held talks with the U.S. Secretary of State and the leadership of the Red Cross. Crossing the border by the so-called peacekeepers will be considered in Ukraine as an act of aggression. And we will have the full right to defend ourselves,” the report reads.
According to Chaly, a huge convoy moved to the Ukrainian border, accompanied by the Russian military and technology, and supposedly by agreement of the Red Cross, a humanitarian aid with peacekeepers was supposed to enter Ukraine “apparently in order to provoke a full-scale conflict.”
It is also noted that the humanitarian aid to Ukraine will come from international organizations in accordance with applicable law, but “without the pseudo peacekeepers.” Furthermore, the Committee of the Red Cross rejected “any statements by Russia, that this [the introduction of peacekeepers – ED.] had been agreed with the Red Cross.”
