Ukraine, Luxembourg ink deal to avoid double taxation

Ukraine and Luxembourg on September 30 signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation between the two countries.

The document was signed by Ukraine`s Finance Minister Oleksandr Danylyuk and the Ambassador of Luxembourg in Ukraine, Michele Pranchere-Tomassini

Both countries have been looking forward to signing such an agreement for more than 20 years, according to Danylyuk.

”We are reviewing all bilateral conventions to avoid double taxation … Our strategy is to review all these agreements… This will reflect in the investment climate in Ukraine,” said Danylyuk.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in March of this year, the Ministry of Finance announced the negotiations on the revision of conventions on double taxation with the Netherlands, Great Britain, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria.
