One Ukrainian soldier has been killed in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, the ATO press center has reported on its Facebook page.
“According to specified reports, Ukraine has lost one soldier over the past 24 hours. Yesterday afternoon a paratrooper soldier was killed by a sniper bullet while protecting the Donetsk airport,” reads the statement.
Fifteen more soldiers sustained various injuries when performing their duties in different parts of the conflict zone. All the injured were sent to medical institutions where they got medical assistance.
