Ukraine has talks with Russia on financing of terrorism

The first round of the Ukrainian-Russian talks on Russia’s violation of the Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism was held on January 22 in Minsk.
This has been stated by official representative of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis at a press briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Those talks with the Russian delegation were held on January 22 in Minsk – the talks on the Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism of 1999,” the diplomat said.
According to him, the parties exchanged their positions and agreed to continue talks to discuss the disputable issues.
On December 18, 2014, justice minister of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko said that Ukraine prepared an appeal to the International Court of Justice concerning Russia’s violations of Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism of 1999.
